Restore errors

When I attempt to do a system restore i get an error saying something about a restore point in winsta.dll could not be found.
i tried making a restore point and received the same message. Any ideas.
 
Entry Point Not Found:
The procedure entry point RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore could not be
located in the Dynamic Link Library winsta.dll
Do a search for the sr.inf file which is normally located in C:\windows. Make
sure you search hidden files in your search criteria.
Right-click on the sr.inf file and select the install option.
