Restore Deleted Removable Storage Device

In an attempt to resolve an error message, I deleted an
LTO tape changer from "Removable Storage" under "Physical
Locations". I assumed I could "un-delete" (restore) the
device without a lot of problems, however, I have had no
luck so far. This server is running Windows 2000 Service
Pack 4. The changer and it's tape drive show up fine
under Device Manager. How do I bring back this device to
Removable Storage in order to manage it?
 
Do you have another backup program installed such as Veritas BackupExec? In
Device Manager, check to see whose driver (Microsoft, etc.) is being used
for the tape device. If it's not Microsoft, it might not be RSM ("Removable
Storage Manager") aware.
