restore an unsaved file

I opened a file that was attached to a mail in hotmail, I openend it and made
changes, but I didn't save the file, though I clicked frequently on the
discette icon in Word to keep the changes. When I closed the document I was
asked to replace an existing file, apperently the attached file had the same
name as one of my other documents, and I clicked no, so the file was gone.
Is't there anyway to get it back?

This is one reason of several reasons to not open email attachments
directly. We get messages daily about people who lose their work this way.
Instead, save the attachment to your hard drive and then open it from the
hard drive in Word.
