Hello all,
I was just wondering if there were a way to take a 2000 AD system state
backup and use it to restore AD on a different machine without pulling in
all of the hardware registry settings. All I need is the Active Directory
information itself, and if the machine that crashed is physically bad I
won't have the option to restore to the same one.
Aelita indicated they are not a start to finish recovery software, and
Windows 2003 AD will only let me use a "previously restored" backup, and I
couldn't do the DCpromo from media. Is there any other way? What does
Microsoft say about this?
Thanks,
D.
