Restore Active Directory to different server.

to dissimilar hardware. The problem lies with HD controller, which is
probably different. You can try to upgrade your system after restore with
Windows 2000 server CD-ROM.

I'm practicing restoring Active Directory to another
server. Every time I restore the System state I get a
blue screen afterwards. "Inacessible boot device" All
the documentation I've read doesn't seem to help in this
regard.

Can someone explain how to restore AD to a different
server all together?

I'm using straight NTBACKUP for testing.
