Guys Iam having a serious problem, very serious. I just
tried to restart my computer, and it restarted normally. I
got into my Admin account, and onto my desktop. What I
noticed is that my Connection Tray Icon didn't appear, hmm
ok... So I go to open up a program and wham, my computer
stalls. It's weird, I could still do things, but it's like
the explorer.exe was completely and totally frozen. So
after countless trial and error I finally figured out a
solution to make it work right. I signed onto my guest
account, then switched accounts to my Admin account.

I don't know why this works, but now my Connection Tray
Icon is appearing, and everything works fine, but if I
restart I get the same crap. My theory is that something
isn't loading on startup that should be loading. Otherwise,
I don't know any other way to describe this problem, and I
need to correct it.

Again any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated,
I guess I should also mention I ran a virus scan and
nothing came up, and besides I don't think it has something
to do with a virus, I think something is seriuosly wrong
with my system.

Ok I think I pinpointed the problem, I believe it was a bug
in something I had installed.

Although if you guys would have any fix for this problem,
please post about it, it would not only help me in the
future, but the others in the newsgroup as well.

Adios

Yup.

It's a long-standing and well documented bug in XP.

Log off and log back in and any icons that didn't display
will display in the systray.
