Hi, today I tried to start my pc but after a few sec, it could not reach the screen where I log in with my password. When I tried to start in a safe mode, i could see different files but the display stoped with something like "multi(0)/...? drvers. iomdisk

My guess is that there is a major problem because when i tried with different configuration, it did not work at all !!!!! And stopped at the same line.
please tell me what should I do because thewre a lot of files that I don't have a copy and I dont' want to loose them. thanks a lot

Do you have a retail copy of XP? If so , you can try a repair install (this
proceedure will keep files and settings intact), If not , a format and a
reinstall in in your future. Jym
