Folks, if you are not aware of it, the little + sign to the left of a post
as seen on the web interface indicates that there has been a response and
clicking on it should open a "Tree" view with responses listed in order.

People do tend to ask the same questions over again, for one thing the web
interface is not a good way to search for topics.. However you probably have
a perfectly good newsreader - Outlook Express - which makes the process of
finding info and posting much easier.

It is quite easy to set up...

Using OE to read Newsgroups

The link at the bottom of that page will make it very simple to set up the
Outlook Express newsgroup... from there you can see the hundreds of others
available.

Microsoft, or whoever is responsible for this site,

Please allow the responses to be available on the website
as well, so that we do not have to ask the same questions
all over again.

Kind Regards

Walter

Actually the web interface has a different problem -- it doesn't put
a "Re:" in front of responses, so people who don't use the web
interface (which includes most of us who answer questions) cannot
tell the difference between new questions and responses to old
questions. It's so frustrating trying to follow threads I'm about
ready to bail on Microsoft's groups. I wish MS would get their
shinola together and FOLLOW PROPER USENET STANDARDS.

Yeah I've noticed that sometimes, but it seems the biggest losers are people
who find the web interface because they are in trouble and don't know the
usual "Conventions" so they have lots of trouble finding replies and also
find it slow and awkward to search.
