I submitted a question on January 5. I still have not seen an answer. How
long does it usually take to get an answer back?

Hi BillRay,

The amount of letters in the newsgroups are so high that I rarely read
posts older than a few hours, perhaps up to 24 hours old. If you haven't
received an answer within a day chances are your message drowned in the
flood and none that knew the answer were around at the time. In that
case, repost the message. Different people are on at different times and
different days.

As for your socket problem, I'm afraid I can't help you there.

It depends on who is watching the groups. If you are an MSDN Universal
Subscriber, register on the MSDN site, as your email will trigger an internal
Microsoft answer if nobody answers your question. Otherwise, answers are not
guaranteed.

In most instances, it depends on who is answering at the time on turnaround.
You will find that "easy" questions are grabbed quickly. The more difficult
the question, the more likely you have to ask again, as many of the users of
the forum are not qualified to answer hard questions.
