Anybody know of any good resources for learning how to use Word 2000?
Online is fine, but so are books. The help files aren't speaking to me, and
I'd like to read some other person's explanations of stylerefs, numbering
pages and chapters, and such.

Hi Philip,

You will find a wealth of information, including that on the subjects that
you mention at http://word.mvps.org/index.html

Please respond to the Newsgroup for the benefit of others who may be

Hope this helps,

Hi, Doug,

I've looked that site over. It's got some useful information, but it's not
set up well for immediate information retrieval when you don't really have
a clue what you need. I'll take a look at the book another poster
mentioned. With the index, contents, and chapter headings, I probably can
browse around and find the help I need.

I've read your other post, and I'll follow your directions. Thanks for the
pointers there as well has here.

I agree with "Special Edition" which is published by Que. I always found Que
books helpful.

I also have "Microsoft Word Inside and Out" which is for users that are
familiar with the basics and want a bit more.

Most cost effective, in terms of using your time, is to start with a book
such as Special Edition Using Word 2000.
Check prices at www.bestbookbuys.com.
