Windows XP Resource DLL Error 1-287

When I boot up my computer I get the following error code:

"Resource DLL Error 1-287"

Can anyone point me in the right direction to correct this?
 
The reason the original question was not answered is ... lack of information.

Unfortunately, we just don't feel like asking 20 questions.

I also get the following error code when I boot up system: sony application-resource DLL error (1-287). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
