Resolution changes when awakening from sleep mode

My default screen resolution is set to 1280 x 800. Everytime I go into sleep
mode, and then awaken from sleep, the screen resolution changes to 800 x 600.
Then I have to go to control panel to adjust screen resolution back to 1280 x
800.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Go to the video adapter manufacturer's site, download the latest driver
(even if the same version as is installed). From Device Manager,
uninstall the current driver, reboot, and install the downloaded video
driver.
