Resizing Picture in powerpoint

When I cut and paste a picture from windows media(11.0) player into power
point (2007) and try to resize the picture , it corrupts the picture instead
of resizing it. The aspect ratio is all wrong . I hope I explained this
correctly.Please advise
 
Right click on the picture, click Size and position, click on the size tab.
Resize using the values for scale. Click the reset button to start fresh and
get back the aspect ratio.

if you resize the image by using the 'corner' handles then it should keep it
in proportion.

Thank You. I have tried it before posting.Problem is part of the text/video is gone

Thank you for your answer.The problem I have is that "the contents whether it
is text or picture within the windows media player format is gone once you
resize. Problem is not resizing (that works perfectly fine)but it is the
contents. Please advise.
