When I recieve pics via email and they are in the smaller version? I save
them to my pictures folder. What is the best way to resize them to enlarge
them?

Thanks

Making them "larger" is easy in a photo editing program, but that won't
do what you really want--making them have more detail.

That detail was permanently lost when the photo was resized to add
to the email message.

The only way to get the original sized photo with all its detail is to
ask the sender to sent the original (non-resized) photo to you.

Ok well they orginal photos are corrupt so I only have the emailed ones. So
when I'm making them larger in my picture editor I'm using the size of all my
other pics which seem to be 1440 pxsH x 2160 pxlsW for the most part they
look good; some better then others; some grainy. What size would you suggest?

Thanks

That's completely up to you. Generally resizing a photo by a factor
less than two can produce quite pleasing results--especially if followed
by a little sharpening. Resizing a picture more than a factor of two
tends to produce a very "soft" photo. If you're seeing pixellation
or "graininess", either try a smoother photo resizing method or resize
by a smaller factor.
