I have a presentation that is comprised of 100 slides and is 630MB. Of course too large to run on some computers. I captured jpg files that were an everage size of 775 kb. This high quality digital camera was a 4 megapixel camera. I needed to have this clarity for reprinting these shots for tradeshows. Howver, when I insert them into the ppt presentation they import at about 10 times the size and therefore I am in trouble. Do you know of a way to decrease the size of each jpg

Thanks

- What version of PPT?

1. Open images in image editing software, resize and do save as. Import
these freshly optimized images into presentation. Check here for good
information on optimal size:
http://www.powerpointbackgrounds.com/powerpointgraphics.htm

2. Using PPT 2002/2003 you can use the built in Compress Pictures function.
On the Picture toolbar click the Compress Picture button (has 4 arrows
pointing in toward a picture icon). Select Web/Screen (96 dpi) and check
both options. Do a SAVE AS.

3. One step better would be to use RNR's Presentation Optimizer:
