I put a new harddrive in my PC and loaded a Ghost image.
The image took the entire 40 Gig drive. I want to resize
it so that C: is only 30 gigs. Is this functionality
built into windows 2000 server?

Richard,

Unfortunately, this functionality isn't built into Windows 2000. You will
need to use a third-party partitioning utility or you can perform the
following steps:

1. Backup the C: volume.
2. Boot off the 2000 CD.
3. Delete and Re-create the partition.
4. Install Windows 2000.
5. Restore from backup.

No, there is no functionality in Windows 2000 to reduce the size of a
partition.

No. you'll have to use 3rd party software such as Partition Magic. Pack /
defrag C: first. Burn all essential data files onto a CD-R, since there is a
remote possibility that you may lose stuff.
