Hi all!!
I've this problem. On my computer with Win XP Prof. I've only one HDD (40Gb)
and I've only one partition on this disk of about 40Gb. Now I want resize
this partition to 20Gb (50% of actual dimension), but this partition is the
system partition, and the disk is in dynamic mode....
I've already tried some program as partition magic etc but the problem is
the dynamic disk....

Any idea???

Thanks..

Unfortunately, there is no official way of converting a dynamic disk to a
basic disk without formatting/"fdisk"-ing the entire disk:

"Cannot Revert Boot Drive from Dynamic Disk to Basic Disk"
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=217226

The only unofficial software that can claim to do it is Paragon Partition
Manager 6.0.
http://www.partition-manager.com/home/personal/features.htm
(in certain circumstances).

Maybe if Microsoft opened up their code for NTFS...
