Does anyone mnow how to resize a form so that it fits the screen (I don't
mean Maximise, I mean so that it looks the same whatever the screen
resolution)

I am sure that this is possible but my users would be very
unhappy if I adjusted their setting. People who like Their
settings low are used to scrolling. They would be "Pissed"
if i gave them smaller type. I would go with your company
standard.

Try the shrinker stretcher code that is out there
somewhere - it is supposed to do as you want and mostly
does - (without changing the actual display resolution).

The Access xx Developer's Handbook by Litwin, Getz and Gilbert (where xx is
whatever version of Access you're using) has sample code that lets you do
this. See http://www.developershandbook.com/ for more details about the
book, or simply download an MDE add-in from
http://www.developershandbook.com/downloads.htm that will do it for you.

Another option (this one shareware) is ShrinkerStretch from Peter De Baets
http://www.peterssoftware.com/

There's also apparently something at
http://jamiessoftware.tk/resizeform/rf_download.html as well, but I don't
know anything about it.

While I agree with you that you should never change user settings, I don't
see Alan suggesting anywhere that he wants to change the resolution. He
specifically says "resize a form so that it fits the screen", not "resize
the screen so it fits the form".
