I want to increase the size of cells that already contain data without
increasing the size of the data. All of the cells are in the same column.
Excel (office 2000)

Thanks.

Cells' width is a property of the entire column.

Cells' height is the property of the entire row.

Individual cells cannot be re-sized.

Size of data within a cell is governed by the font size, not by row height or
column width.

Right. But is there one setting that can change the height of all the rows
in a column at one time? I have lots of rows to change and to change each
row would be time consuming. Also, I want them to be all the same "height".

As Gord says, the height applies to the whole row, so if you wanted all
cells in a column, that would mean ALL cells.

You can easily do it by just doing Ctrl-A in a worksheet, hover over any row
number to the left until the cursor changes to a black cross, then drag the
rows to a bigger height value
