I want to reset the reading pane in outlook 2003. When I open outlook 2003,
I see from, received and size. I just want to see the reading pane the way
it was before, with the lines arranged by: date, newest on top, and the
person that sent the message and the subject in the area that displays the
message as well as the date shown at day and time. What do I have to do to
reset the reading pane?

This is a bit of an overkill, but I recommend starting Outlook 1 time with
the /cleanviews command line switch. This will delete all custom views and
reset the built-in ones back their defaults.

How to:
Select Start | Run
Type: outlook.exe /cleanviews
OK button

I just messed my inbox up on another computer that I use once in awhile. Now
I see it the way I did on my first computer, with the subject beside the
email account that sent the email, then date received, size, etc. I tried
the /cleanviews switch but nothing changed. What else can I do to get the
pane back to the way it was?

This switch should work. The only time I have seen it not work is where
Outlook is already running (or listed in the process list) when trying the
instructions provided.
