I changed about 10 settings in my registry (ex: hiding the
display control panel, etc). I don't want to go back
manually and change them back to the default. Is there a
way to reset your registry's quickly.

Thanks, DJ

As far as I know if you didn't make a backup your out of
luck. Although in windows 98 I think there is a file in
you windows root directory that can be used to replace
your registry. I beleive it's like 1st.??? or something.

If you have only used the out-of-the-box group policy settings, they should
revert back when you remove the policy.

If the policies are "tattooing", you'll need to find another method of
undoing them and that won't be quite so easy.

Here is something:

On a Xp client or 2000 member server:

313222 HOW TO: Reset Security Settings Back to the Defaults
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=313222

For a 2000 DC:

"cd \winnt\security\templates" (without the quotation marks)

"secedit /configure /cfg "setup security.inf" /db ss.sdb /log ss.log
/verbose" (without the quotation marks)

"secedit /configure /cfg basicdc.inf /db basicdc.sdb /log basicdc.log
/verbose" (without the quotation marks)
