When I installed a number of my programs on Win XP I
installed them for all users because I did not think
anyone else would need access to my computer. Guess
what ... new business .. employees need access to this
system. How can reset the program permissions so that
only my admin account has access to certain programs, or
rather so that they do not show up in the limited users'
accounts start menu?

Move the programs you don't want them to run from "All Users" to your
profile. It's usually in: "C:\Documents and Settings\username" Remember
that that won't stop anyone who knows what they're doing from running the
software. If you really want to limit they're access you'll have to edit the
user access policy.

In addition to adjusting the profile so the launching links
do not show in the All Users Programs one also should
(in this case) set the NTFS permissions on the installation
files so that Users group does not have execute (or rather
just so it has no grants) while making sure that the accounts
that should be able to run the app do have grants after Users
is removed.
