I'm getting a NETLOGON error with Event ID 5722 for a client machine
in our domain, and in the research I've done, I think I've discovered
that the action to take is to reset the computer account. (BTW, we
have a Win2K server as our DC and the client machine is running XP
Pro) I learned you can reset computer accounts in AD based on what I
read in MS Knowledge Base article 216393. Has anyone done this? What
problems should I expect to have with the client afterword? If I
understand correctly, it will be seperated from the domain. I'll
leave it at that and see what y'all have to say...

Thanks,
Kris

I have used netdom method successfully on several occasions. You computer
won't be separated from the domain, just its password will be changed.

If you can not use netdom for some reason you can remove
the computer from the domain by joining a workgroup. then
rejoin the domain. we hav done this and it does not seem
to cause andy problems.
