Resetting a Powerpoint slide

I have a gameshow (Connect 4) i need a way that after the game is done i can
click on a button and the slide will return to hte begiining state. I have
read some of the answers in the group..none were working when i linked them
to a button and then clicked on the button-nothing happened.

yes i will try to make myself more clear,
I made a connect 4 game and once the games is played (the pieces move around
while the slideshow is in view via vba) so once the game is done when yu exit
the slideshow the pieces are in the same place as where the players placed
them. so yes i can manually put each piece backin in its place- but that is
annoying. I want to place a button on the screen that says reset- and when I
click it the slide will go back to its origional state.
