I don't know why, but I have "Reset Web Settings" in the Tools menu bar.

My laptop doesn't have it, and I'd rather my desktop didn't either.

Both are running IE6 on XP SP2

How can I get rid of it?

Hi Ian,

You can disable it from Tools>Manage Add-Ins.

Hold it... No you can't.. Its a group policy setting but I can't see it in
gpedit.msc!

Heres the registry key

[HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel]
"ResetWebSettings"=dword:00000001

You may have to create the value if it does not exist in your registry.

If this is your work machine consult your help desk first. They may have to
make changes to your profile.

Regards.

Thanks Rob, that got rid of it

I had to add " \Internet Explorer\Control Panel]
"ResetWebSettings"=dword:00000001 " in the registry.

This was on my home computer, and have no idea how it got there.
