As an administrator of 120 systems, 90% of which are stand alone laptops
this new feature gives cause to complain.

First of all it's location right above the Internet Options menu link is
bad. Users commonly move to quick and would inadvertantly click it. Second,
it's to easy to see, and maybe use!.

We have gone thru a lot of settings to try and protect our users browsers
from ADWARE/SPYWARE. I really don't need them undoing it in a click!

I don't want to take the entire menu from them but will if needed.

IS there a registry setting for this, or maybe a policy?

Thanks

While I do not have such a button myself and a button's location
depends on the whim of the user, try creating a restriction in the
Registry under the key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel

Create a dword called "ResetWebSettings" and give it a value of 1.
