In Windows XP, the first time you go to a directory such
as the Program Files, Windows, Windows/System32, etc. You
receive a blue screen that cautions you about changing
these files. After you tell it to show you the files, the
next time it shows them with no warning message. How do I
reset this to the original condition?

In Windows 2000, much of this was controlled in the
folders.htt file but it has moved in XP and I have spent
hours searching TechNet and support for more information
on this issue with no results. Please email me with
information if you have it.

Thanks

Alt. 1: Click "Hide the contents of this folder" or "...drive" under "Tasks
in your explorer window (appears when you remove the Folder tree).
Alt. 2: Folder options - View, under Advanced settings, uncheck "Display the
contents of system folders"

....or you can play around with your registry.
