I need to change my IE settings to prompt to save or open
a word, ppt, xls file, etc. vs automatically open. Can
you tell me where I'd find/change that setting? I've
looked everywhere!

Thanks for your help.

Hi Marianne,

To get the download dialog box, enable the "confirm open after download"
option for that filetype:

Click "Start" -> "Program Files" -> "Windows Explorer".

Then click "Tools" -> "Folder Options".

Change to the "File Type" tabs.

Scroll down to locate the file type. Highlight the filetype (example :"PPT
Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation") and click the "Advanced" button.

Then check the option "confirm open after download".

Also, set the "NoSelectDownloadDir" to "0"
