reset bios

Had a friend rebuild computer (new Mboard, processor, RAM and installed XP) Temeratue alert must be set too low (get warnings alot) - I would like to reset got any ideas

It might be an incorrectly installed CPU heatsink and fan. Temperature
alerts are usually NOT something to discard lightly. The bios defaults are
usually correct and many not adjustable. The temperature sensors on most
newer processors is on the processor itself and usually very reliable. You
might try a third party temperature monitor like MBM5 at
http://mbm.livewiredev.com/ and see what your temps are actually running.
Most processors run well at anything under 60C. Over that, and you can get
failures. A lot over that and you can damage the processor or it will just
throttle down and then turn off, depending on the processor.
