"Windows XP Inside and Out" by Bott and Seichert (Microsoft Press)
recommends the following when dealing with Stop Errors:
"[R]esetting all BIOS options to their default settings can sometimes
resolve an issue caused by over-tweaking."
They do not explain HOW to do this. If it is a worthwhile thing to try,
could someone explain how it's done?
I've never gone into the BIOS and I'm frankly a bit unnerved by the
prospect.
