Reset Admin Pasword

I am sure this is a dumb question but...I have a user who has a laptop and
has forgoten his password and the administrator password. It is a windows
2000 machine that is not conected to a domain.

Is there any way I can access the data...Help!

Furthermore: After you have resolved the issue,
plan ahead and create a second admin account,
and lock its password away.
