resample in FrontPage '03 gives white background?

When I resample a gif or jpeg in frontpage 2003 it becomes clearer , but the
backgroung turns white. How can I keep a colored background after resampling?
 
Sorry i had to use this page as I cant get into the forum. I have a welcome
back message where a new topic should be but it is locked and I cant type
anything. log in is ok. i tid to delete message but this can't be done. can
someone help as have an urgent question

Don't resample in FP...for that matter don't use any of FP's image editing
features, use a third party image editor..PS, PSP, whatever.
