Installing 32bit Vista Ultimate OEM:
Setup boots, language choice confirmed.....
"Required cd/dvd drive device driver is missing"

I've disconnected the plextor sata drives, used an usb ext. dvd writer,
but... still stuck on the same 'error'.
I've disabled the sil1334 controler in bios, same 'error'.

If i look for drivers in setup, vista has found all available hard disks,
huh?

I'm using XP MCE at Raptor 1 and like to install Vista at Raptor 2.
Can i start the setup of Vista (oem) in windows XP MCE and succesfully get
Vista
on Raptor 2 with dual boot?

Kind Regards,

Mk.

Try going to the Plextor Support site and see if there are firmware
updates for your drive.

I had to install one (two steps from 1.04 to 1.06 on my PX760A EIDE
drive) to avoid that error message.

Be a good idea to check for BIOS updates too.

Plextor drives are updated (712sa) now, but i have used a sony/nec dvd PATA
writer
to instal vista without problems.

Thanks!
