Mike

I have a SBS 2K machine w/FP Extensions installed. It has SP4 installed and
all the relevant SP's applied. I'm trying to use the 60 minute Intranet Kit
from MS. When I try to run the wizard, I'm asked for my password from
myserver. When I put the administrator name and password it will not work.
I've changed in IE 6.1 the user logon to require name and password per MS.
That made no difference. I look in MS and it keeps telling me to go to
security and change to Author mode. Unfortunately, the Security bar is
grayed out and the 60 Minute Kit is a one time shot. You can't add to it
via the wizard. If I create a site, then it won't write to that website.
Does anyone have any ideas? how do I reset master permissions for
\\myserver so that I can authenticate?

Thanks!

Mike Evans

Can you define what "myserver" is? That last path you put there looks like a
network path, not a URL.

Myserver is the name of my server. I used that to descrbe the server name
\\xxxxxxx. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks,

Mike

Try accessing the server as http://Myserver or http://ipaddress

Under IIS MMC, right click on the web, then All Task and make sure the
extensions, users and permission have been applied. Then if you have set you
web site up as a subweb of Myserver, then access via:

http://Myserver/webname or http://ipaddress/webname

I can't get by the permissions. I use administrator and use the correct
password. It than asks again and again for the username and password. I'm
stuck.

Thanks,

Mike

I suggest then that you visit the IIS or Windows newsgroup for help with
getting your permissions set correctly.
