Well, it's dead. After many years of chugging along without a hiccup or
a hitch, the HP 660C no longer works. It blinked its little green light
when asked to print, so I connected it to the other computer, in case it
had had a falling out with the machine for which it had toiled so
reliably. It still blinked. But it didn't print.

Goodbye, old friend.

Mere words can not convey the sorrow present here today. We mourn the loss
of one of the very best of its kind. The HP 660C that so valiantly served
its friend and master will not be forgotten. Every day that passes will not
lessen the sting of our loss nor the depth of our admiration.

We will continue our fight! We will press on to ultimate victory and see
that the loss of our faithful companion was not in vain. We will, we shall,
we can avenge our loss on our enemy. Let there be no mistaking our words,
no misunderstanding of our actions, no ignorance of our crusade.

We vow here, in this place, amongst our fellows, that no matter what the
odds, we will fight on! No power on earth can stand against our righteous
might! Our friend would not want it any other way.

A moment of silence in memory of a fallen comrade.

Words fail me... :-)
