requesting data

Does any know if it normal for outlook to keep requesting dat for no
apparant reason for the exchange server? It seems to happens in fits and
starts.

If it is not normal why does it do it & can it be stopped?

It's beginning to drive me mad so any help would be apreciated.
 
I suspect that you are using Outlook 2002? If so,
try turning off the "Instant Messaging"

Open the TOOLS menu
Select OPTIONS...
Select the OTHER tab

Turn off the check mark next to "Enable Instant Messaging
on Microsoft Outlook".

I am using outlok 2002 and IM was turned on, why,? I don't know!.
I'ts now off now so if you don't here from me alls weel

SP2 is supposed to clear this issue in Outlook 2002.
