Could someone do a futurepost in this forum with the subject line 'READ
BEFORE POSTING - PROGRAMMING QUESTIONS ONLY' with details about how to find
the correct group before posting in this newsgroup? It seems more than half
the opening questions in this newsgroup are not related to .NET at all.

Or simpler - just change the description of the forum? General
Discussion (as it apparently* appears on one of the online MS forums)
isn't very specific...

*=from asking people mis-posting here... I haven't seen it myself.

Leon,

Don't blaim the MSFT's, they have probably as less posibilities to change
this as you.

If you complain, do it than direct to your local Microsoft office.

I'm not complaining, I'm making a request to the people who moderate the
newsgroup. If someone else made a futurepost here they'd probably get flamed
and one of the MSFTs would delete the post.

Leon,

Where did you get the idea that MSFT moderate the newsgroups, nobody is
doing it as it are UseNet newsgroups.
MSDN use the newsgroups to give help to MSDN subscripters, which is done by
MSFT, they are in noway moderate the newsgroups.

The deleting of post is not done by MSFT. This is only as it is spam or as
asked to the newsgroup admin, as is normal with usenet newsgroups. (It does
not even make sense as everything is very quick loaded by by instance Google
on their newsgroup servers but not only Google, however everybody who has a
newsserver).

Cor, what does it matter? My original point is that if one of the MSFTs (or
even one of the MVPs) was to make a futurepost then it would be more
credible than average joe doing it. I'm not looking for a philisophical
discussion about who owns usenet and the process of moderation.
