Requery a background form
Hello,
Using Access ’03…
I have a form (frm1) that opens when a user opens the database (it’s
kind of a background form w/ a picture).
Once that form (frm1) opens, a pop up form (frm2) opens for data
entry.
What I’ve done is place a subform (sfrm1) on frm1 and set its view to
datasheet. That way when a user enters a record they can intuitively
see the record in the database (even though it’s sitting behind the
pop up form).
E.g., when a user enters a record, the sfrm will automatically reflect
the changes as records go in/out of the database. The only issue is
that I cannot seem to requery the subform when the pop up is open
(which always stays open).
Can I requery a form/subform even though it doesn’t have the focus and
see the changes taking place?
If you're wondering why the sfrm is not on the pop up, it's due to
space/visual presentation.
Thanks for any help
