REQ:how do you disable Windows Messenger

I'd like to totally disable windows messenger. Is there any way of
doing this. I tried to just delete the folder but that was a very bad
move.

In order to run it you have to upgrade to the latest windows messenger
and for that you need .net

Thanks for the prompt reply. Obviosuly this isn't the correct place
to ask here but not knowing where else to look this seemed the best
place. The reason is you need .net to use the darn thing in the first
place.
