Avery has a free download of Design Pro on their website
(http://www.avery.com/us/Main?action=software.AverySoftwareDetail&catalogcod
e=WEB01&softwarecode=3200). You can get the basic edition, it has some card
and other templates. Avery also has free online templates
(http://www.avery.com/). I signed up for Avery's newsletter and have been
getting the Design Pro on CD for free. I have two versions for cards and
labels of all sizes and types. You can import images and text from other
folders and programs. You won't get what you would with a regular purchased
card maker program, but if you can work with basic templates and drag and
drop, you can use this, just requires a little more work than the ready made
card software. If you are artistic, Serif has Draw Plus! and several other
programs for free download on their website that you could use for creating
designs. These are older versions of Serif software. They also have one
called PagePlus for desktop publishing that I think makes cards. Go here for

Great looking software. Has anyone tried any of the packages ? Any
adware/spyware popup ad stuff?
I noticed they wanted email registration to get a 'code' to unlock the
software.

I have used it a few times and it works really well. I've read that some
people received spam after registering, but that has not been my
experience. I used their un-subscribe and stopped receiving mail from
them almost immediatly. Haven't heard anything from them since. :) No
spyware or popups/nags.
