REQ: a simple MIDI editor

Hi,

I'm looking for a simple MIDI editor, able to edit tracks inside a MIDI
file, like removing a track for instance (removing, and NOT muting!),
changing the key or changing instruments. There must be the ability to
save the results to a new MIDI file. It must also work under XP.

I've tried some, but neither one seems to suit my needs. Any suggestions?

Actually, glad this thread started as I need one, too. I found GNMIDI
and can now easily join midis into one medley. All I need is a simple
editor to edit the track names. I'd like to enhance the track names
since it would be nice for _all_ the midi files be listed there
instead of just the ones where the midi composer actually typed in the
name of the piece of music, not something they all do.
