This may or may not be the correct forum for this, but,
this is a question that begs an answer.
I was at a Microsoft User meeting last night and the news
was released to the attendees that all Microsoft OS's and
application supporting Java will be going away (this, due
to the class action law suit by Sun Systems) come December
25th, 2003 or there about. I was initially under the
impression that this transition was to take place in the
fall of next year 2004.
However, at that meeting last night it was brought out
that the cut off date was moved up to December of this
year! Is there any truth to that news snippet?
Also, it was mentioned that support for the remaining
applications that contain java components would be
relegated to a third party in cyber space. Is that true
too? If it is, how does one contact that third party?
Looking forward to any information available on the latest
developments on this subject!
Thanks,....
