I have been unable to access usage reports from FP2002.
Each time I request them it immediately posts the
following error message:

There is no usage data available for this web, because it
has been published to a server that does not support
usage analysis.

At the suggestion on MVP, who said it was a problem on
the server side, I asked live support at the host but
they say they have never heard of such a problem and
after consultation, said it was on the Microsoft side.

It must be something I am doing. Do I have to set it up?
When do I do it? (During the publishing process? When I
am connected to the server.)

When I request it the error message is returned so
quickly it couldn't be looking at the server and doesn't
even try to connect.

Usage reports requires FP 2002 server extensions on the host server, and
must be set up and enabled by the host. You have no control.

But, has the host set it up for usage reports?
You haven't answered that question.

| Am I the only one who cannot get reports.

Yes.
I still don't understand when the files are downloaded.
At no point doesFP even Check the server. How can it
possibly calculate a report when it does not have data.

If you are opening your Online web in FP it does not have to "download" anything
- the data is read from the server
File Open Web http://www.yordomain.com/ and log in

If you are opening a local web it will only run under IIS & the FP 2002 SE, not a disc based web
