Reports wrong OS

I am running Windows XP home Edition SP3 and it is reporting Windows 2000 to
MSN. They feel this is possibly causing a problem I am having with MSN 9.6.
How do I correct it?
 
Open My Computer and go to Help > About Windows.

Post back with the exact version and build that you see.

No it reports Windows 2000 to MSN. I do have XP Home Edtion SP3 which showes
correctly on my computer. MSN thought SP3 could be causing my problem when I
was running running MSN 9.5 but they thought 9.6 would correct it but did
not.

Is there a way I could e-mail you a screen shot that I have to show you what
I am talking about?
 
I do not accept email. There is nothing wrong with your copy of Windows.
It is reporting the correct version. If MSN is seeing a different
version then you have a problem with MSN, not Windows.
