Hello in my database I have a list of persons in each
department and there phone numbers. I would like a report
which would group the departments together and put ALL of
the information on each page. So one department on one
page. If it goes onto another page then it just says at
the top it just says the department name cont and then
continues and then on a new page it starts the next
department.

Is this possible? If so how can I achieve this?

Many Thanks

James

James,
In Design View, open the Report's Sorting and Grouping Dialog
View + Sorting and Grouping

In the upper panel, enter the field name on which you wish to group.
In the lower panel set the Group Header (and Footer if you want one) to Yes.
Exit the dialog.

Back in design view, set the Group Header ForceNewPage to Before Section.
Set the Group Header Repeat Section to Yes.

To have a 'Continued' label in the Page Header see Microsoft KnowledgeBase
