I have many reports in an access2000 database that will
cause access to close completely. They have all worked
for years in a previous version, and will usually work if
I delete them all and import the reports from a previous
saved copy.

Hi,
In my experience this error is linked to your printer
driver.
If you have a printer installed try removing the printer
drivers and try to run the reports. If they do open ok
(they should) download new printer drivers specific to
your printer and more importantly appropriate for the
version of windows you are using.

We had the same issue when we added a few newly purchased
HP 1200 Laser Printers and set them as default. The
reports would work fine with our older HP 6P's. What we
did to remedy the problem was to install newly downloaded
XP drivers for the printer locally for the networked
printer. We did this by adding a new printer, selecting
local printer(even though it is networked) and
uncheck "automatically detect and install my plug and
play printer", choose create a new port and select
standard TCP/IP port. You will then need to know the IP
address for the printer as well as have the drivers, so
they can be installed locally and not used from the
server. This worked for us...hopefully it will for you
too.
