I have inherited a database and am trying to figure out how the reports were
designed. I can't figure out how to get to design view for the reports. I can
only do a print view. Parameters have been set, but I can't see what they are
or how they were set up. Can you give me any suggestions? Thanks for your
help.

You could try holding down shirt whilst double clicking the database icon
which then opens the database for editing.

i have found this problem often with inherited databases where i work.

If that fails, try holding down the SHIFT key instead of your shirt.

Thanks for your response Boyd. The extension is .MDB. The Design View is not
grayed out because it is in a print view.

To go to a report it has been set up to require a parameter of a date. When
you put in a date you are brought to a print screen. When I close the print
screen it takes me into a design view with 5 text boxes (no labels, controls,
fields) set up in it. I am not sure how to get to where I need to go to
delete the parameters.

Bill,
Thanks for your response. This response tells me I am in over my head! Do yo
know how I would find someone in the San Diego area that works as an
independent contractor to take a look at this database?

By the way, Rob's method may be the one that works.
