I am running a report using grouping. When there is a duplicate entry, the report drops it. Is this a glich in Access. Is there a workaround.

Do you mean that if you choose the same field on multiple rows of the
Sorting And Grouping dialog, and set the property for a group header and/or
a group footer, that the section disappears from the report by itself? Never
seen that happen, and we do used duplicate sections quite often.

What version of Access is this?
What service pack?

Or have I misunderstood your post?

Okay you are losing a record. Thanks.

I'm guessing the report is based on a query. Open the query directly, and
see if the record is missing there also. If it is, check the properties of
the query (Properties on View menu), and make sure you have not asked for
Unique Values.

I'm assuming that this line is in the Detail section of the report:
7/1/2004 - NEW APPLICATIONS - 1

The record is not missing from the query. Only in the report. I check for
unique values. Unique value is off.

The line in question is in the Detail section of the report.

Very strange.

You don't have the HideDuplicates property of the text box set to Yes in
your report?
