Report stopped working

In A97:

Any ideas what would cause reports to stop working after a year of daily
use? No one has access to change the reports or the underlying queries --
and the queries still work fine.

As for the reports...the behavior is inconsistent. For example, first one
report dropped the records for a specific employee, even though they did
show up in the query. And a separate report showed that the information
entered for that employee was valid.

Then, the reports would run with one date as the criteria, but not with the
next date. Then, a couple times I tried to run the reports with the date
that _was_ working, and I got an error that the expression may have been was
too complex. I'm thinking that it is just a generic error, since it
certainly did not get any more complex since the last successful run.

It would seem obvious that the data entered must have been compromised, so
we deleted it and started from scratch. Even with just a couple of records
for the date in question, the reports would not run consistently.

Problem occurs on different computers. The main table has just over 97,000
records. The database has been compacted/repaired. Our network has been
sluggish... could it cause this behavior, or this that too much of a reach?

I have no idea where else to look. Any ideas?

I developed a database that had jpg's and information in
it. When the database got > 1 gig, all sorts of things
begin to happen. Reports wouldn't run, queries got
different results. I archived enough records to bring it
down to 100 megs and it worked like a charm again.

Try it.
