Report sends extra page thru printer

Hi,
I am new at making access reports and have a problem I can not figure out.
I created a report based on a query and everything looks fine except that
when I print preview and print there is an extra blank page. Print previw
shows an extra page with very small dots on it, the same number of dots as
there are records on the first page. The printer will send an extra sheet
through with nothing printed on it. I did this in landscape view and the
report looks fine but I do not want to send an extra page through the
printer whenever the report is printed. It does this if there is only one
record on the report or if the page is nearly full. Any ideas or
suggestions on how to fix this problem would be appreciated.

check that the size fo your report is not beyond the margins of your page.
Basically this sounds like the dot is from each record on the first page but hangs off the right of the page, thus causing a second page to print. When in report design view, go to page setup and reduce the size of you left and right margins.
OR reduce the size of your report byu clicking on the right edge of the report and draging it towards the left.
 
Hi Rocky.
Check your report in design view.
Specifically make sure there is not any white spce to the
right of the last data on the page, Maybe a dotted line is
extending to the right, shorten it to the length needed.
While at it review the page footer etc and make sure they
are no longer than required.
You may also want to set the can shrink for the various
bands.
Also check the page setup all page margins.

I had the column size set too large to go on the page, I reduced it and then
adjusted the margins. Thanks for your reply.
